Fluxwerx Hyphen earns top marks from two international product design competitions
The LIT Lighting Design Awards and The Architectural Products Magazine have both selected Fluxwerx Hyphen family of luminaires as the winner in their respective Lighting Product Design categories. A recipient of Red Dot 2023 product design award in the Lighting category, Hyphen transcends traditional general area illumination and downlighting with its unique options and exceptional visual comfort.
Embodied in discrete 10″ or 20″ forms with an ultra-narrow, linear aesthetic, Hyphen is available in recessed and surface mount in both fixed and adjustable versions. Designed for simple integration with many environments allowing for a minimum depth of 1/2" and a maximum depth of 1.25", Hyphen Recessed can be chosen in either Trim or Trimless fixed variants and an adjustable version delivering a 60° lateral range of motion. Single and Twin Optic Hyphen Surface luminaires feature minimalist aesthetics and unique and specific functional forms, both delivering 90° vertical-motion and 360° horizontal rotational adjustability. Hyphen is available in three high performance distributions—65° Wide, 45° Medium and a 25°x75° Narrow Ellipse. Available in a breadth of length, optical, mounting and distribution options, there is an application-based solution for every need.
Created to recognize the efforts of talented international lighting product designers and lighting implementers, the LIT Awards was envisioned to celebrate creativity and innovation in the fields of lighting products and applications. The 7th edition of the LIT Lighting Design Awards attracted over 800 submissions from 58 countries. A distinguished panel of 45 professionals, including architects, interior designers, academics, and media representatives in the lighting industry, evaluated the entries, selecting those that exemplified outstanding creativity and innovation.

Architectural Products Magazine's Product Innovation Awards (PIA) recognizes innovative LED and solid-state luminaires and fixtures on the market. With judging and evaluation of products and systems from a distinguished panel of designers and lighting specialists skilled in product evaluation, the 2023 PIA program awarded manufacturers based on attributes, qualities, functionality and/or performance beyond industry standards.
